We are currently working with several LA's and Virtual Schools, providing 1:1 tutors and support staff to work in homes and ESBD schools across Greater Manchester.
Working on flexible, short-term bookings with a caseload of anywhere from one to five students per week, we are looking to register knowledgeable, patient teachers who have experience of working with students detached and disengaged from mainstream education. These opportunities are ideal for teachers wanting to make a difference to the lives of young people, but, not wanting the full time commitment that is associated with mainstream teaching.
Our current pool of tutors say that the work is more rewarding; they tell us that they are able to make more profound difference to students who need it most; and that the communication from the stakeholders is excellent.
Rates of pay are excellent and with guaranteed minimum bookings, these opportunities are not to be missed.
All we ask is that you
- A passion to make a difference
- Are reliable, punctual and enthusiastic
- Have excellent communication skills (for liaising between SENCO, case workers, psychologists, etc)
- Hold a recognised teaching qualification in Primary, Secondary or Post-16 education
- Patience to overcome barriers to learning
