We are currently working in partnership with a large, traditional Secondary school as they look to recruit a teacher of Oldham on an ongoing, full-time, long term supply basis. The post is to start immediately and is likely to run until July 2017.
You must be able to display sound/strong subject knowledge of all three Sciences at Key Stage 4; and have a willingness and commitment to improving the outcomes of the students you work with. Behaviour management in our school is good; with systems and structures in place to ensure disturbances are dealt with and succinctly followed up.
To be considered for this role, you must have the following:
- Relevant degree achieved at a good/excellent standard
- UK Qualified Teacher Status, enabling you to teach Science at Key Stage 4.
- Achieved via PGCE, SCITT, B.Ed, or other recognised route
- A passion to make a difference
- Patience to overcome barriers to learning
Located a short drive from the M60, M62 and M66, and with good public transport links (just a short tram/bus/train journey from Rochdale, and Huddersfield), this opportunity is suitable for newly qualified teachers of Science, or, more experienced Science teacher.
