The role of the Business Analyst is to support the successful delivery of the Progressive Metering Programme which will roll out around 450k smart meters by 2020.
Responsibilities will be to:
Help develop enhanced customer journeys, define business requirements and processes to support a prioritised set of initiatives which support these enhancements. This is likely to include running workshops, defining process diagrams and procedures, high level and detailed requirements, pro-actively and collaboratively identifying and resolving issues to the mutual benefit of customers and key business stakeholders.
Undertake impact assessments to understand how the Progressive Metering Programme will align with other projects and programmes and feed requirements into those as appropriate.
Co-ordinate the revision and/or creation of customer communications including letters, emails and SMSs, from the definition of content changes through to their testing and implementation.
Define requirements to enhance the online customer experience, working closely with UX, design, development and test teams as necessary.
Identify opportunities to measure customer satisfaction and define and facilitate the implementation of changes to support those.
Deliver business engagement presentations to key stakeholders, contribute to business cases, maintain a high level plan of BA activities which contributes to the broader smart metering plan.
Provide regular report updates to the Programme Manager, highlighting key successes, issues for escalation and more strategic improvement opportunities.
Contribute to the programme RAID log including suggesting how to mitigate identified risks.
Support and coach/mentor less experienced analysts.
Skills and experience required
The successful Business Analyst will:
" A wealth of experience as a Business Analyst
" Have worked on a mixture of Waterfall and Agile projects as the scope of work is likely to be a mixture of both digital and back-end oriented change
" Have managed a broad range of stakeholders and be able to build strong relationships
" Be both a good team player as well as a self-starter who achieves their objectives without constant direction and exhausts all reasonable solution options before escalating
" Be able to negotiate win/win outcomes
" Be a confident communicator and able to create and deliver presentations
" Be used to pro-actively identifying and resolving issues
" Be able to prioritise their work, delivering to tight timescales and able to change direction at short notice when necessary
" Have worked as a Business Analyst in a contact centre environment
" Have advanced Excel skills, but these are by no means essential.
You must be available to start before Christmas, but candidates available no later than 9th January 2017 will be considered.
Location and Salary
This role is for a 6 month contract with a possibility to extend further. We are offering a rate of £350 up to £450 per day or equivalent depending on your level of experience. This role will be based at our offices in Swindon, Wiltshire.
A valid UK driving Licence is required as there will be some travel to other locations as such as Langley and Reading, Berkshire.
