Up to £60k depending on experience
To provide the lead strategic medical/marketing direction and input to defined projects and project teams.
To be responsible and accountable for delivery of projects to agreed financial, quality and timely targets.
To maximise client and target audience satisfaction with all projects.
To foster the development of other members in the project teams.
To provide strategic direction of accounts encompassing all aspects of programme/project development through thorough knowledge of market issues, company's and project's overall strategic objectives.
To be financially accountable for allocated projects, closely monitoring profitability. To proactively initiate actions to maximise growth and profitability of accounts.
To perform presentations internally and externally for example Account Plans, Case Histories or Project Plans.
To be responsible for client satisfaction and to ensure the delivery quality within budget and timescales.
To revise all budgets and schedules before they go to the Director, Medical Communication for sign-off.
To assess the scope of all assigned projects and identify the range and depth of supportt necessary for achieving account and project objectives.
To direct project teams on all aspects of project briefing, planning, scheduling, budgets and resourcing.
To ensure final sign-off on all projects before they go to client and or to print.
To review projects for scientific accuracy, therapeutic relevance and key marketing messages in conjunction with medical writers.
To review projects for quality assurance and high standards in conjunction with the project editor.
To be responsible for coaching and mentoring of project team members.
To identify personal development plan objectives for these project team members in conjunction with Director, Client Services.
To regularly feed back to Director, Client Services on project team members performance, progress and development.
To provide regular account/project updates to the Director, Client Services.
To set example by complying with and endorsing company procedures.
To develop and maintain productive working relationships with colleagues at all levels within the company and proactively encourage and implement improved efficiencies.
To be involved in recruitment and selection for the project team.
To engender team spirit and work closely with Director, Client Services on special assignments and company initiatives.
To deputise for the Director, Client Services, where appropriate.
Skills, Knowledge & Experience Required
Experience from pharmaceutical industry/agency environment, preferably in the international arena.
Experience of pharmaceutical strategic marketing programmes including implementation and monitoring of Medical Communication/Education projects.
Undisputed ability to work independently on all aspects of Pharmaceutical Marketing.
Degree in medicine, pharmacy, life sciences, marketing or other relevant area.
Experience of all aspects of financial project management or the ability to demonstrate a full understanding of these processes.
Experience of managing a team of staff and well developed people management skills.
Excellent logistic and project management skills.
