A Senior Product Owner is now required to join the market leader in the provision of Remote Workforce Management software in the Facilities Management and Health Care Sectors.

You will be joining a dynamic, creative and forward thinking team who will shape the future product development for the company in line with the organisational strategy.

With an emphasis on innovation, the development team is working on a long term project with the vision of transitioning our existing applications to scalable web based platforms using the latest architecture patterns and web technologies to deliver a richer customer experience.

As The Senior Product Owner you will be an integral part of the SCRUM teams and be the conduit for all stakeholders involved in the project. With a particular emphasis on Facilities Management and working with our development teams in New Zealand and the UK, you will have the opportunity to bring forward ideas gained from your experience and implement them within the team to further improve the existing processes and develop new product innovation.

The Senior Product Owner will be responsible for:

Work closely with and manage 3rd Party and remote Development teams

Construct business cases for new products/enhancements

Be accountable for the delivery of roadmap product to the Facilities Management sector

Liaise with the offshore (New Zealand based) development team

Identify ways of improving current Product Owner processes

Utilising knowledge of the Facilities Management sector, identify the future potential of developments and what POCs (Proof of Concepts)/prototyping may need to be created to justify direction of development

Understand the customer / user base and their product requirements

Manage internal and external stakeholders

Define User Stories and acceptance criteria

Define test cases with testers

Maintain and prioritise product level backlogs

Support pre-sales through analysis and idea generation

Essential skills for the Senior Product Owner include:

3 years or more experience and understanding of the Facilities Management market

Able to demonstrate a thorough understanding of Facilities Management and a view of the future direction and requirements of the market as a whole

3 years or more experience as a Product Owner within a SCRUM/Agile environment

SCRUM Certification (SCRUM Master or Product Owner) or equivalent

Ability to mentor and coach others

Demonstrable expertise in the whole Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)

Excellent written communication skills with experience writing comprehensive yet clear, well-structured documentation

Excellent verbal communication skills to a range of technical and non-technical stakeholders

Ability to fully define a problem and assist in solution identification

Ability to present items and hold workshops in formal/informal environments

Ability to work in an environment which provides a responsive customer experience.

You will work Monday to Friday 09:00 -17:30, 40 hours per week or the hours necessary to complete tasks.

Due to the nature of this role, overnight stays away from home may occasionally be necessary along with traveling at unsociable hours.
