Assistant Quantity Surveyor required for this, established this consulting business with over 14 years trading history and are market leaders in Office Relocation, Refurbishment, Fit-Out, based in Mayfair.
This is for a permanent position, not freelance, a background with commercial refurbishment and fit out consultants. This position is for an assistant quantity surveyor, who wishes to develop their experience, and career, with the company.
This is an Interior Design & Build Consultancy providing complete Design, Refurbishment, Fit Out, Construction and Project Management services for commercial offices, and for the hospitality, pharmaceutical and industrial sectors.
Assist in managing and drive subcontract procurement, deliver the procurement to a programme ensuring timely placed orders. Identify risks, gains, areas of design input or potential value engineering. Assist in establish and monitor subcontract resources. Produce subcontractor buying analyses together with detailed back up information identifying the package summary for approval for management, prior to order being placed.
Assist in the production and issue accurate and timely CVC’s ensuring preliminary and material costs/forecasts are managed. Assist in preparation of CVC’s to be reviewed with technical, production and purchasing disciplines. CVC’s prepared for review by management approval.
Assist in production comprehension subcontract orders, manage their return and completion with accurate records taken.
Assist in administration subcontractors accounts, in accordance with the subcontracts, including valuing, re-measure and certifying timely payments.
Assist in the preparation, agreement and issue valuations in accordance with contract requirements. Produce Contract Sum Analyses and Cashflow forecasts, ensuring a positive cashflow is maintained for the project.
Attend and actively partake in Design meetings, Client meetings and Internal Team meetings, and actively drive to pursue Value Engineering options.
Assist in the management of the clients final account, inclusive of delivering and agreement of contract variations, communication of their outcome, implications and the preparation of forecast final accounts.
Assist in the responsibility for cash management projects, by minimising costs and maximising value through proactive analysis and facilitation of works packages.
Assist in the management of contract finishes schedule, review and evaluation of specific costs and alternatives. Work towards closing out an accurate value engineering finishes specification delivered within the works on site.
Trained in experience required for the delivery of refurbishment and fitting out schemes where the company is involved. Providing cost information to support specification decision making, sales and marketing costs and customer preferences.
Assist in the control and accurately report cost together with future financial projection.
Work in partnership with all departments, assist in driving communications and problem solving
Ideally degree or diploma qualified, or similar relevant qualification
Commercial background, ideally gained with in Interior Design & Build Consultancy in complete Design, Refurbishment, Fit Out, Construction and Project Management for commercial offices.
