Job Title: Post Room Assistant (part time 20 hours per week)Reporting to: Group Service Manager Accountable To provide a high quality, proactive and professional Post Room service
Duties: To ensure all post (internal and external) gets collected, sorted and posted to all TDL sites and external addresses To include, but not be restricted to, the following:
To provide an efficient and effective postal service to company premises in line with department ‘best practice’ and ensure compliance to relevant policies and procedures.
To sort hard copies, invoices, receipts etc for posting or to be delivered by couriers To send post with Royal Mail using the Online Business Account system(OBA) To be able to use the Neopost report printer and folding machine To arrange collections for international deliveries with external courier companies To sort all incoming mail and distribute it efficiently and accurately To cover the main reception desk at tea breaks and lunchtime.
To adhere to all communication procedures whilst carrying out duties.
To process paperwork accurately and efficiently in line with departmental policy and set procedures. General Duties To become familiar with the day to day organisation of the department as it affects your work.
You should be aware of the functions of other members of staff in the department as they affect your work.
To undertake such work as you are assigned in a careful and efficient way and in compliance with CPA guidelines.
You will be trained for the work that you are expected to perform.
Do not attempt any work unless you are confident you can carry it out properly.
