Service Accountant (Temporary)
Location: Banbury Area
Pay Rate: £18.00 per hour DOE
Hours: Full Time, Monday to Friday (8:00am to 5:00pm or 9:00am to 6:00pm)
Flexible start and finish times may be considered for the right candidate.
Temporary Service Accountant Required
We are currently recruiting for an experienced Service Accountant to join a well-established organisation on a temporary basis. This position has arisen due to long-term sickness absence and is initially expected to last around one month, although there is strong potential for the assignment to continue considerably longer.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced finance professional who is available at short notice and looking for a varied accounting role within a supportive team environment.

Key Responsibilities
- Completing balance sheet reconciliations
- Preparing and submitting VAT returns
- Financial processing and transaction management
- Assisting with month-end activities
- Investigating and resolving financial discrepancies
- Supporting budget monitoring and reporting
- Maintaining accurate financial records
- Providing general accounting support to the wider finance team
- Previous experience in a Service Accountant, Management Accountant or similar finance position
- Strong reconciliation experience
- Knowledge of VAT regulations and return preparation
- Excellent financial processing skills
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and finance systems
- Ability to manage workload effectively and work independently
- Competitive hourly rate of up to £18.00 per hour DOE
