Pertemps are currently recruiting Robot Operatives to join a well-established specialist manufacturing business based in Pontypool.

The company manufactures specialist components and products for the automotive sector and is looking for reliable and hands-on individuals to join its existing paint robot team.

This is an opportunity to work with automated paint machinery, operating robotic paint booths and ensuring components are processed efficiently and to the required standard. Full training will be provided.

What will you be doing?

As a Paint Robot Operative, your responsibilities will include:

  • Loading paint booths with components ready for processing

    • Setting and operating automated paint robots

    • Changing over kits once each cycle has finished

    • Monitoring the robot throughout the production process

    • Ensuring components are loaded correctly and processed efficiently

    • Checking completed work for any defects or quality issues

    • Following production instructions and procedures

    • Maintaining a clean, tidy and safe working environment

    • Working alongside the existing robot operator and wider production team

This is a hands-on role where you'll be working with automated machinery, so you'll need to be comfortable following instructions and working accurately to a set process.

Hours & Shift Pattern

You'll work a rotating three-shift pattern alongside the existing robot operator:

  • Days: 6:00am – 2:00pm

    • Afternoons: 2:00pm – 10:00pm

    • Nights: 10:00pm – 6:00am

What are we looking for?

Previous experience within manufacturing, production or operating machinery would be an advantage, although full training will be provided.

We're particularly interested in people who:

  • Are comfortable working with machinery and equipment

    • Have good attention to detail

    • Can follow instructions and production processes

    • Are reliable, punctual and hardworking

    • Can work effectively as part of a team

    • Are comfortable working a rotating three-shift pattern

    • Take pride in producing work to a high standard

Full training will be provided, making this a great opportunity for someone looking to develop their experience within a specialist manufacturing environment.
