Job Description

Job Title:            Welder/Fabricator

Location:            St Helens (WA9)

Salary:                 £17.62 per hour

Hours:                 Monday- Thursday 08:00- 16:30, Fridays 08:00- 14:00

Contract:            Permanent

 

 

Our client a highly experienced manufacturing and installation company are recruiting for a time-served fully skilled Welder/Fabricator to joint their expanding team.

 

 

As a Welder/Fabricator your duties will be: -

 

  • Welding aluminium, copper, and steel in process TIG and MIG.

    • Pass coded weld tests in all positions up to 6G.

    • Fabricate and weld assemblies, to a high-quality standard in accordance with engineering technical drawings.

    • Follow instruction from supervision.

    • Assist other skilled tradesman with aspects of the works.

    • Maintain upkeep of work area, workshop, and general housekeeping.

    • The use of hand tools, such as hand drills, grinders, and power tools.

    • Carry out general maintenance across the site.

    • Make themselves aware of health and safety risks involved.

    • Follow site rules and procedures.

    • Following best practice guidelines and ensuring other adhere to them.

    • Report to supervisor for workload, issues, and any risk events.

    • Completing and assisting with paperwork, risk assessments.

 

 

The successful Welder/Fabricator will have the following skills: - 

 

  • Must have full UK driving licence.

    • Basic English and Maths qualifications (min. GCSE level 4 / grade C).

    • Time served, fully skilled welder/fabricator.

    • Able to read and work direct from engineering drawings.

    • 5 years of welding and fabrication experience.
