The Role
Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

    • Working on propulsion systems, steering, fuel, hydraulic and cooling systems.

    • Reading and interpreting engineering drawings and technical manuals.

    • Working collaboratively within a professional engineering team.

About You
We're looking for candidates who have:

  • Previous experience as a Marine Mechanic, Marine Engineer or Mechanical Technician.

    • Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills.

    • Experience maintaining diesel engines, mechanical systems or marine equipment.

    • The ability to work independently and as part of a team.

    • Excellent attention to detail and commitment to health and safety.

Candidates from automotive, HGV, plant, agricultural or military engineering backgrounds with transferable mechanical skills are encouraged to apply. Marine experience is advantageous but not essential for the right candidate.

What's on Offer?
  • Competitive hourly rate based on experience.

    • Monday to Thursday working pattern – enjoy a long weekend every week.

    • Ongoing assignment with the opportunity for permanent employment.

    • On-site parking.

    • Weekly or monthly pay available.

    • Support from the dedicated Pertemps Isle of Wight team throughout your assignment.
