As Chief Engineer you will be responsible for developing the Design and Development of transmission and driveline products for the next generation of hybrid and electric vehicles. Working with the MD you will take control of Product Development, Product Maintenance, Sustainability and Test and Validation of our products across all global markets.

A leading Global Automotive Manufacturer of advanced transmission systems and advanced controls systems and are currently undergoing a period of rapid growth with investment in brand new state of the art R&D and manufacturing facility in the UK. As Chief Engineer you will manage and lead R&D activities including Testing, Validation, R&D and Homologation of all new products. As a leader in our market, we design, develop and manufacture a range of systems and products which are supplied to major Automotive OEMs around the world.
As Chief Engineer you will be responsible for developing the Test and Validation strategies for advanced new products; also include developing systems, processes and procedures for efficient verification and validation whilst working in close liaison with our production facilities and European R&D centre.
Your team will be working on high tech New Product Developments, working for an exciting company in an excellent working environment. The products you will be working with are highly advanced, making a difference in the world by making vehicles cleaner and more efficient whilst shaping and defining technology shifts within the automotive sector.
Applications are sort from existing Chief Engineers, Principal Engineers or Senior Engineers who are currently working for an automotive vehicle OEM, component supplier or engineering consultancy.
o Degree/ HND Engineering qualified
o Leading Test Release for approval sign-off across test and homologation activities, including all lab, electrical, vehicle and type approval testing.
o Managing DVPR process and final sign off for testing, system, subsystem and components.
o Providing leadership to engineering teams to ensure all changes are managed correctly
o Supporting the development of the product from conception through to manufacture.
o FMEA and DVP&R processes and a good working knowledge of IATF/TS16949.
o ISO 26262 Safety requirements
o Knowledge of vehicle driveline, transmission, powertrain, hybrid or electric propulsion/ drive systems or similar technology is important for success in this role.

NPD Project manager. Principal Engineer. Automotive, Passenger Cars, Commercial Vehicles, OEM Tier 1 or Tier 2. Transportation.
