Job Title: Engineering Maintenance Manager
Salary: £50-55K + car + bonus
Overview (Maintenance Manager):
A World leading automotive (tier 1) manufacturing organization with ambitious plans to expand require an Engineering Maintenance Manager.
We are looking for someone who has come through the ranks with experience of a fast paced multi asset environment, experience in machine shops, CNC would be advantageous.
We have a huge investment plan over the next 3 years introducing lots of new equipment and upskilling the workforce, a great chance for someone looking for a challenge. A role with a lot of autonomy working within a close and friendly 10 man management team.
Purpose (Maintenance Manager)
Through the management of a multi-disciplined Maintenance workforce develop and implement the Maintenance strategic plan to ensure machine reliability is achieved and maintained, at optimum costs, in order to enhance both company performance and long term business development. Support team development, continuous improvement projects and initiatives to drive operational excellence and maximise value utilizing Lean principles.
o Ensure EHS compliance at all times
o Ensure the scope of the annual Site Services and Preventative Maintenance programme is appropriate and by using technical experts, ensure that the programme is delivered against time, cost and quality
o Develop action plans to anticipate and respond to manufacturing and engineering problems
o Develop the PM Systems to include Autonomous Maintenance
o Drive the effectiveness of the maintenance software to manage downtime recording, Mean Time Between Failure, Mean Time To Repair and spares management
o Provide safe, reliable and fit for purpose engineering solutions
o Communicate with all departments on the technical state of each engineering activity across site at all times
o Planning, budgeting and management against targets
o Managing concurrent projects
o Work closely with the Engineering Manager to deliver innovation and proven technology across the manufacturing site to ensure that the needs of business are met on an ongoing basis
o Ensure engineering rigour is achieved within a lean and rapid manufacturing environment
o Maximise the team's ability, creativity and problem solving to deliver beyond expectation
o Develop the individual members of the team including the completion of personal development plans, skills matrix, monthly reviews, annual appraisal and performance management as required
o Support special projects as required which may cover technical advances and capability studies
o Effectively integrate new concepts that can aid the assignment of equipment related to advanced process capability and material handling concepts
o Use lean principles to analyse specific problems and create action plans for cross functional teams
