Apart of a well respected international engineering organisation, they have recently moved into a new engineering premises to produce complex high value components for the automotive industry.
Project Engineer - Automotive systems
Salary: £35000 - £45000
Location: Redditch, Worcestershire
o Coordination of technical project activities within the company and directly to the customer.
o Customer interface with major automotive OEM representing the organization as a Resident Engineer
o Create and maintain timing plans
o Manage APQP process according to automotive customer requirements
o Ensure customer requirements are captured and managed on time and to specification
o Manage prototype build phase
o Supplier liaison during development and pre-launch phase to ensure parts are delivered on time
You will already be working within the automotive industry, ideally in Project Engineer, Project Co-ordinator or Project Design role
o HNC/ Degree Engineering related discipline
o Product design, development or project engineering experience
o Experience or working knowledge of automotive mechanical / hydraulic systems, ideally related to brakes, transmission, suspension or powertrain products
o Previous experience working directly with automotive OEM manufacturers
o Confident communicator both internally and to customers
o Ability to work across multiple projects and prioritise accordingly
o Driving license essential, frequent business travel in UK is required
