Job title: Building Surveyor (Estates Surveyor)

Due to an internal promotion, our client, one of Central London’s prestigious estates has a vacancy in their team. The estate is compiled of 44 properties built between 1470 and 1989 meaning 2 of the 5 ranges are Listed Grade 1 and the rest are all Grade 2*. This historic and prestigious estate relies on being managed effectively and is seeking a dynamic, experienced building surveyor to manage the estates technical and surveying service and major works programme.

Building surveyor responsibilities:

As a building surveyor, you would be brought into the estates team made up of 12 construction professionals, directly supporting the head of estates, an MRICS qualified building surveyor. You would be expected to carry out the following:

- Building surveys, defect diagnosis & repairs
- Provide technical advice on maintenance of buildings
- Run projects from inception through to completion of value £100,000
- Assist head of estates on larger projects value £1,000,000
- Assist in the preparation of the annual budget for the development, refurbishment and maintenance of the estate

Building surveyor requirements:

- HNC Building Studies / BSc/ MSc/PGDip Building Surveying or AssocRICS
- Experience with building surveys and diagnosing defects
- Ability to run and manage their own projects
- Proficient on AutoCAD
- Professional, hardworking individual
