Stores Operative

 

Pertemps are currently recruiting for an experienced Stores Operative to join an established and reputable company on an ongoing basis.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with previous warehouse, stores or stock control experience who is looking for stable, ongoing work, excellent weekday hours and an attractive hourly rate of £18.32 per hour.

Immediate starts are available.

Working Hours

 

The role operates on a rotating two-week shift pattern:

 

Week 1:
Monday to Friday – 6:00am to 2:00pm

Week 2:
Monday to Friday – 2:00pm to 10:00pm

 

You will alternate between the two shifts each week.

 

About the Role

 

As a Stores Operative, you will be an integral part of the warehouse and stores team, helping to ensure stock is received, recorded, stored and dispatched accurately and efficiently.

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:

 

• Managing goods in and goods out operations
  
  
• Loading and unloading deliveries
  
  
• Moving stock safely around the warehouse using pallet trucks
  
  
• Carrying out accurate stock checks and inventory control
  
  
• Recording stock movements and product information using the company's CRM system
  
  
• Updating and maintaining accurate records using Microsoft Office
  
  
• Ensuring stock is correctly stored, labelled and accounted for
  
  
• Preparing and organising stock for dispatch
  
  
• Maintaining a clean, tidy and well-organised stores and warehouse environment
  
  
• Working closely with colleagues to ensure the smooth running of day-to-day operations
  
  
• Following company procedures and maintaining high standards of health and safety at all times
  
  

 

About You

We are looking for a reliable, hardworking and organised individual who takes pride in their work and can work effectively in a busy stores environment.

To be considered for this position, you should have:

 

• Previous experience within a stores, warehouse or stock control environment
  
  
• Strong knowledge and experience of goods in and goods out
  
  
• Experience handling and moving stock safely
  
  
• The ability to safely operate pallet trucks
  
  
• Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office and CRM systems
  
  
• Excellent written and spoken English
  
  
• Strong attention to detail
  
  
• Good communication and organisational skills
  
  
• The ability to work independently while also being a strong team player
  
  
• A reliable and professional approach to work
