Supporting the efficient and effective running of Wolves garage
Undertaking planned & defect maintenance activities for mechanical systems
Ensuring vehicle maintenance is carried out timely and is accurately recorded
Liaising as and when required with external maintenance contractors and other bodies e.g. MAN, ATS, and DAF.
The effective recording and allocation all of parts and their costs
Minimising vehicle downtime and reacting to peak demands for vehicle availability by working flexible and innovative as required
Ensure all safety procedures are followed, playing a key role in our safety agenda.
Contributing and managing vehicle maintenance costs, identifying areas of cost reduction, coupling and uncoupling of motive units/towing vehicles from trailers
Previous, demonstrable experience in a similar role City & Guilds, NVQ's or equivalent qualifications in LGV vehicle maintenance
Have a thorough knowledge of the LGV tester's manual Will have possessed an LGV Cat C (Class II) Licence for a minimum of 3 years, with CPC and no more than 3 penalty points Aptitude for planning and problem solving
Computer literate, specifically; Windows, Outlook 365, SAP
Good analytical & problem-solving skills and commercial awareness
Generous remuneration package to include starting salary up to £42,5000 (Inclusive of shift Allowance), 33 Days Holiday and free secure onsite parking.
Hours of work will be a 2 shift rotation, 06.00 - 14.00 and then 12.30 - 20.00 Monday to Friday, working one Saturday in three.
