Are you looking for a long-term position with a view on earning top end rates of up to £13.09 per hour, with plenty of opportunity for extra hours? We are recruiting for a driven Saw Operator/ CNC cutting machinist with forklift B1 Counterbalance certification, for a client in the Erdington / Witton area.

This is a renowned metal stockholder of aluminium and steel bars. They are a progressive, fast-paced factory, offering the potential for lots of overtime. All applicants for this role MUST hold at least 12 months experience as a Saw Operator (CNC or manual) or industrial cutting tools, in order to ensure a brief window of training. If you have used water jet or drilling machines, this will be strongly considered.

In turn, the company will offer a starting salary of £25,540 per annum to the Saw Operator, subject to annual review.

Hours of work include: 0800-1600 Monday to Friday

Duties of the CNC Saw Operator include:

o Operating automatic saws
o Operating upstroke and downstroke saws
o Reading from technical drawings
o Cutting aluminium products to required length
o Completing job sheets
o Using appropriate measuring equipment

In order to be successful for this CNC Saw Operator position, candidates must bring the following attributes:

- Proven background as above
- FLT licencing dated within last 3 years from an official accreditor
- Aptitude to cross-train on a multi-directional reach truck
- Ability to read basic drawings and appropriate measuring equipment
