Job Title: Inbound Warehouse Operative (Container Receiving & Tipping)
Location: Birmingham
Shift Pattern: 06:00-14:00

Our Client is looking for an staff member who can efficiently receive, unload, and process inbound container deliveries, ensuring all goods are handled safely, accurately, and in line with company procedures.

Job Role
Our Client is looking for an staff member who can efficiently receive, unload, and process inbound container deliveries, ensuring all goods are handled safely, accurately, and in line with company procedures.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive inbound containers and verify delivery documentation against expected shipments
- Safely open, unload, and process containerised goods
- Inspect products for damage, discrepancies, or quality issues and report any concerns
- Accurately count and record stock using warehouse systems or paperwork
- Sort and place goods into designated storage areas
- Operate warehouse equipment ( pallet trucks, PPT, or forklifts if licensed)
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organised working environment
- Follow all health & safety procedures, including manual handling guidelines
- Work closely with team members and supervisors to meet daily targets and deadlines
- Assist with general warehouse duties when required
- Previous warehouse or logistics experience (preferred but not essential)
- Experience unloading containers or heavy manual handling is advantageous
- Good attention to detail and accuracy
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet targets
- Basic numeracy and literacy skills
- Team player with good communication skills
Physical Requirements
- Ability to perform manual handling tasks, including lifting and moving heavy items
- Comfortable working in a physically demanding role and within container environments
