HGV Class 2 Driver – Permanent

Location: Aston, Birmingham
Salary: £33,000 per annum (£16.92 per hour)
Hours: Monday to Friday, 07:30 – 16:00 (37.5 hours per week)

Pertemps Recruitment is currently recruiting on behalf of our client for an experienced HGV Class 2 Driver to join their team on a straight permanent basis in Aston, Birmingham.

This is an excellent opportunity for a professional driver seeking a stable, Monday-to-Friday role with no weekend working and a great work-life balance.

The Role

• Multi-drop deliveries of building materials throughout the Greater Midlands area
  
  
• No handball – forklift loading and unloading at delivery points
  
  
• Monday to Friday, 07:30 – 16:00
  
  
• 37.5-hour working week
  
  
• Time Off In Lieu (TOIL) provided for hours worked over 40 per week
  
  
• Permanent position from day one

Essential Requirements

• Valid Class 2 (Category C) licence
  
  
• Valid Driver CPC and Digital Tachograph Card
  
  
• A minimum of 5 years' Class 2 driving experience is ESSENTIAL
  
  
• Excellent knowledge of drivers' hours and road transport legislation
  
  
• Strong customer service skills and a professional attitude
  
  

Desirable

• Valid Counterbalance Forklift Licence
