We are currently recruiting for a temporary Admissions Coordinator to work within a Higher Education Organisation to respond to all enquiries via email, phone call and face to face. You will also be responsible to assisting in organising interviews, open days and applicant visit days.

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

• To respond to all enquires related to a specific School within specific timeframes in a professional manner
• To manage the admissions email inboxes and ensure all queries are dealt with in a timely manner
• Support the Head of Undergraduate Admissions with the criminal convictions and underage applicants process
• Provide thorough and comprehensive information, advice and guidance to any enquiries
• To support all enquiry to application targets by ensuring pre application services are efficient, robust and customer friendly including passing any more complex enquiries on to relevant team members
• To support the programme of School conversion events and conversion activity such as Applicant Visit Days and interview days for some schools and University wide confirmation and clearing activity
• To support line management to implement service level agreements to co-ordinate a high level of service consistent with all other areas of the pre enrolment student journey
• To implement systems for managing admissions processes which would take into account any new legislation and University policies
• Ensuring that all processes and systems are responsive to the needs of potential students, University Schools and any other partner organisations
• To maintain SITS records and to ensure all changes are recorded on related systems
• To undertake the "Tran" and "Hum error" process with other admissions assistants on a rota basis
• To meet with potential applicant's face to face and provide information
• To make offers where appropriate
• Attend recruitment events, UCAS fairs and HE events as appropriate
• Working flexibly as part of a co-ordinated Admissions Team, providing cover to other admissions and recruitment functions and work collaboratively with other cross university departments
• To undertake other duties as appropriate to grade, including occasional evening and weekend work

Person Specification:
• Experience of working in a similar administrative role
• Educated to GCSE level including Maths and English
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail
• Can do attitude with a flexible approach to working with others
• Well organised with the ability to analyse and problem solve proactively
• Excellent communication skills and ability to communicate with enquires from both UK and overseas
• Ability to use administrative systems
• High level of IT proficiency
