Business Development Executive
West Bromwich
Permanent, full-time 37.5hrs per week (flexible working hours)
£35,000 per annum (negotiable)


Are you experienced at bringing on new business and developing existing relationships, within the engineering, construction, or manufacturing industry? Then this role could be for you - there are flexible hours and the option to go hybrid with one day working from home once you have settled into the role fully. Our client design and fabricate high spec products for some really big companies in the UK. This role will involve travelling around to visit new clients with expenses paid for, therefore a valid UK driving license is essential for this position.

Requirements for the Business Development Executive:
  • Experience in Business Development in the manufacturing, engineering and/ or construction industry is essential.
  • Excellent communication written and oral.
  • You are not required to have lots of experience on the costings side as this can be taught, although some experience would be advantageous.
  • Outgoing personality, confident in selling and not shy to pick up the phone.
  • Ability to work well independently and as part of the wider team, lots of cross over with other departments.
  • Valid full UK driving license.

Responsibilities of the Business Development Executive:
  • Business development with new and prospect clients
  • Calling and visiting new clients.
  • Dealing with all Incoming enquires, quotes and BD calls.
  • Familiarise yourself with products and services offered by the company.
  • Attend networking activities to research and connect with prospective clients.
  • Maintain existing relationships with clients.
  • Suggest upgrades or additional products and services that may be of interest to clients.
  • Upselling/ following up on quotes.
  • Service reviews with existing and new clients.
  • Remain up to date with trends in the marketplace place and competitor activity.
