The Role
As a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth operation of production machinery and equipment. Working on a rotating shift pattern, you will be responsible for both reactive and planned maintenance activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out electrical and mechanical maintenance on production equipment
- Diagnose and repair faults to minimise downtime
- Perform planned preventative maintenance (PPM)
- Support continuous improvement initiatives
- Ensure compliance with health & safety standards at all times
- Work collaboratively with production teams to optimise performance
Requirements
- Proven experience in a multi-skilled maintenance role (electrical & mechanical)
- Relevant engineering qualifications (e.g. NVQ, City & Guilds, or equivalent)
- Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills
- Experience within manufacturing or heavy industry (steel experience desirable)
- Ability to work rotating shifts
