Commercial New Business Account Executive
Commercial & Mid-Market Insurance | Northwest
Salary £60-67,000 per annum plus car allowance and bonus.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Commercial Insurance professional to join a growing and ambitious insurance business in the Northwest.

This role is focused on developing new business opportunities across the commercial and mid-market sector, building strong client relationships, and delivering tailored insurance solutions to a broad range of businesses.

The successful candidate will play a key role in driving growth, identifying and converting high-quality prospects, and helping to expand the commercial portfolio across the region.

Commercial New Business Account Executive key responsibilities include:
  • Developing and winning new commercial and mid-market business opportunities across the Northwest
    • Building and maintaining a strong pipeline of prospective clients
    • Identifying client insurance needs and delivering tailored commercial insurance solutions
    • Managing the full sales process from initial engagement through to conversion and onboarding
    • Building long-term relationships with clients, introducers, and insurer partners
    • Working closely with internal service teams to ensure a smooth transition and ongoing client experience
    • Supporting the development of affinity and strategic partnerships
    • Maintaining strong relationships with key insurer partners
    • Contributing to business growth plans and commercial strategy
    • Providing market feedback and identifying opportunities for proposition development
Commercial New Business Account Executive experience required
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience within Commercial Insurance
    • Proven track record of generating and converting new business opportunities
    • Experience developing and managing a commercial pipeline
    • Strong client relationship and business development skills
    • Experience working within a sales-driven environment
    • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Knowledge of Acturis
    • Progress towards CII qualifications
