📍 Location: Pershore
💷 Pay Rate: £17.95 - £19.50 per hour, depending on experience
🕒 Hours: Monday to Friday, morning shift
📄 Job Type: Full-time, Temp to Perm

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Buyer to join a well-established engineering and manufacturing business based in Pershore.

This is a great opportunity for someone with previous purchasing or procurement experience within a manufacturing environment who is looking for a long-term temp-to-perm position.

The role will involve managing purchase orders, working closely with suppliers, monitoring material availability and supporting production requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Raising and maintaining purchase orders for materials and services
• Providing forecasts and schedules to suppliers
• Monitoring supplier delivery performance
• Managing open orders and ensuring materials are available when required
• Expediting urgent material shortages
• Working with Logistics and Accounts to resolve Goods-In discrepancies
• Monitoring stock and inventory levels
• Negotiating prices and terms with suppliers
• Identifying and sourcing new suppliers when required
• Building and maintaining good supplier relationships
• Supporting improvements within purchasing and inventory processes

The successful candidate will have

• Previous experience within a Buyer, Purchasing or Procurement role
• Ideally 1-3 years’ experience within a similar manufacturing environment
• Good numerical skills and experience working with budgets
• Previous experience using an ERP system
• Good negotiation and communication skills
• Strong organisational skills
• Ability to manage multiple orders and priorities
• CIPS qualification or working towards CIPS would be advantageous
• Degree-level qualification would also be advantageous
