Environmental Project Assistant Manager
Location: Remote (based in Wales)
Pay Rate: £19.84 per hour
Hours: 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday
Assignment: Temporary until 31 December 2026

Are you an organised project professional with a passion for protecting the environment?
We're recruiting for an Assistant Project Manager to support the delivery of a range of environmental projects focused on improving water quality and protecting river catchments across Wales.
Working alongside experienced project managers and technical specialists, you'll help coordinate projects that support environmental improvements within rivers and Special Areas of Conservation (SACs).
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with project coordination experience and a background in environmental science, ecology, planning or water quality.

What you'll be doing
- Supporting the planning and delivery of environmental and water quality projects
- Assisting with project scheduling, reporting and programme coordination
- Working alongside technical specialists to review environmental information and project data
- Helping monitor project progress, risks and key milestones
- Preparing reports, project documentation and meeting notes
- Liaising with colleagues, external partners and stakeholders across Wales
- Supporting projects relating to river catchments, nutrient management and environmental improvements
- Ensuring projects are delivered in line with agreed objectives and regulatory requirements
- Previous experience supporting or coordinating projects
- Strong organisational and planning skills
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
- Experience working with technical information and producing reports
- Confidence managing multiple priorities and deadlines
- A proactive approach and the ability to work independently in a remote role
- Environmental science or environmental management
- Ecology or conservation
- Water quality or river catchment management
