Mechanical Engineer Conveyor Belt
Are you an experienced Mechanical Engineer who has worked extensively on Conveyors and Elevators ideally in the manufacturing, warehouse and production sectors. This role will take you to another level in your career, working consultatively with clients and taking responsibility for the 360 degree layout, design and implementation, supply and integration of state of the art 3D systems. The ideal Mechanical Engineer will have experience of Autocad, slot band, roller, pallet and belt conveyors as well as vertical elevators and order picking systems. You will also need to demonstrate experience of managing the client process, organising sub-contractors, site visits, risk assessment and method statements. This role really takes you through to a management level specifically responsible for "projects" .

The Mechanical Engineer will be able to demonstrate the following key skills
Full familiarity with Auto CAD (2D mechanical layout design) is essential.
Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Project and PowerPoint).
Knowledge of materials handling/production line systems is required
Knowledge of software / controls/pneumatics
Project management experience desirable however experience of handling the 360 implementation process essential.
Experience in Slat band conveyors, roller conveyors, Pallet conveyors, Sortation/diverts. Also Qimorox votical elevators, belt conveyors, order picking, vehicle loading systems, order picking systems, vertical elevators.
Provide detailed layout/design drawing support for both sales and projects department.
Provide engineering layouts for issue to manufacturing
Conduct site visits, surveys and supervision of installations around the UK.
Preparation of risk assessments, method statements and finalised project documentation.
Responsible for review of operational documents and liaise with sub-contractors to complete SDS/FDS.
Ability to liaise with customers, suppliers & contractors
Design and action detailed commissioning plans
Enable and control/action snagging lists during the commissioning process
Deliver on site end of installation commissioning of the systems to comply to SDS/FDS operational ethos
• Strong organizational skills to help manage projects from inception to completion.
• Provide leadership to the small but growing department
• Manage after sales support through the team – ensuring prompt/professional response/actions
