Location: Dudley
Salary: £13.00ph
Hours: 38 hours per week
Working Hours: Monday to Thursday - 8am to 4.15pm, Friday - 8am to 3.30pm

We are currently recruiting for a Steel Stores Person to join an established manufacturing business based in the Dudley area.

This is a hands-on stores role within a busy industrial environment, working with steel and other materials to support day-to-day production operations.

The Role:
As a Steel Stores Person, your responsibilities will include:

• Receiving, checking and storing steel and other materials
• Loading and unloading materials safely
• Moving steel around the site using a forklift and overhead crane
• Preparing materials for production
• Keeping the stores and yard organised and tidy
• Completing basic stock and stores records
• Using a computer for basic stock and administrative tasks
• Following company health and safety procedures
• Supporting the wider production team when required
  
  

About You:
We are looking for someone who is reliable, practical and comfortable working in a busy industrial environment.

Essential requirements:

• Valid forklift licence
• Valid overhead crane licence
• Previous experience working in a steel, manufacturing, engineering or industrial stores environment
• Basic computer skills
• Good attention to detail
• Reliable and safety-conscious approach to work
• Physically capable of working in a hands-on environment
  
  

Training will be provided for the company's systems and processes, so you don't need to be an expert computer user.

Working Hours:

• Monday to Thursday: 8:00am – 4:15pm
• Friday: 8:00am – 3:30pm
• 38 hours per week

Hourly Rate:  £13ph
