Production Operative

Location: Brierley Hill

Pay Rate: £12.71 per hour, increasing to £14.24 per hour after 12 weeks on double days

Job Type: Temporary to Permanent opportunities available

 

We are currently recruiting for Production Operatives to join a busy manufacturing environment in Brierley Hill.

 

This is a varied role where you will be trained across different areas of production, making it ideal for candidates with previous experience in manufacturing, production, assembly, warehouse or other hands-on roles.

 

The Role

As a Production Operative, your duties will include:

• Trimming and finishing manufactured components
  
  
• Carrying out visual quality inspections to ensure products meet the required standards
  
  
• Assembling components using basic hand tools and production equipment
  
  
• Operating a press to fit fixings into components
  
  
• Identifying and reporting any faults or defects
  
  
• Packing finished products ready for dispatch
  
  
• Completing production paperwork and recording quantities produced
  
  
• Learning and operating the basic controls of production machinery
  
  
• Working to production targets while maintaining high-quality standards
  
  
• Moving between different areas of production depending on business requirements
  
  

 

Full training will be provided. However, you will need to be comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, meeting production targets and moving between different tasks throughout the day.

 

Hours of Work

 

Double Days:

Monday to Thursday:

5:40am - 1:50pm / 1:40pm - 9:50pm

 

Friday:

5:40am - 11:30am / 11:20am - 5:10pm

 

You will rotate between the early and late shifts.

 

Pay Rates

First 12 Weeks:

£12.71 per hour

 

After 12 Weeks:

£14.24 per hour
