We have an exciting, new opportunity for an experienced Legal Secretary to join our Commercial Property team. This is a full-time, permanent role that will be based in our Hinckley office. We are looking for anyone who has worked in the Conveyancing sector and Wills & Probate.

What you'll do

The main purpose of the Legal Secretary role is to provide highly professional, effective and proactive support to the Senior Partner/Director. Duties will include:

" General commercial property work
" Audio/copy typing, amending and formatting legal documentation and composing direct correspondence.
" Understand and apply house-style effectively to an expert level of proficiency, acting as a go-to person across the firm
" Diary and inbox management for lawyers
" Travel arrangements for both domestic and non-domestic travel
" Working to continuously develop effective ways of working within the team and to identify ways of improving working practices
" Provide billing and credit control procedures for lawyers and clients
" Involvement in ad-hoc projects as given by the Senior Partners
The successful candidate will have first class organisational skills and fast accurate typing skills. This role will be working as part of a float team based at our London office, providing firm-wide support as and when required.

As a Commercial Legal Secretary, you will provide an effective and efficient secretarial support service to lawyers in the Real Estate department.

What we're looking for

You will have experience as a legal secretary ideally within a commercial property department, be well organised, able to show initiative and capable of working under pressure when necessary with a flexible and professional approach.

Also required:

" Essential to have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
" Be able to build an internal network across OC offices, departments and teams.
" Be able to anticipate, mitigate and resolve client, technical, workload or administrative issues.
" Excellent IT skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Powerpoint, Interaction).
" Essential to be organised and be able to prioritise work.
" Ability to work under pressure with little supervision.
" Ability to pay close attention to detail.
" Ability to remain calm and collected to instil confidence in clients and colleagues.
