Duties and responsibilities for the Accounts Assistant:
- Processing supplier invoices and reconciling supplier accounts
- Matching, batching and coding invoices accurately
- Supporting payment runs and resolving supplier queries
- Maintaining purchase and sales ledger records
- Assisting with month-end processes including accruals and prepayments
- Preparing reports and supporting budgeting activities
- Processing expenses and completing credit card reconciliations
- Providing general finance administration support as part of the wider Accounts Assistant duties
The ideal candidate for this Accounts Assistant role will have:
- Previous experience working within an Accounts Assistant or similar finance role
- Experience using Sage 50
- Strong understanding of invoice processing and reconciliations
- Good Excel skills and confidence using finance systems
- Strong attention to detail and a methodical approach
- Good communication skills and ability to manage workload effectively
