Weekend Multi-Skilled Maintenance Fitter
Our client is looking for Weekend Multi-Skilled Maintenance Fitters to play a key role in maintaining the operational reliability of production equipment. Working as part of the maintenance team, the individual will respond to breakdowns, carry out preventative and predictive maintenance, and ensure machinery operates safely and efficiently. The role requires flexibility, technical expertise, and a hands-on approach.

- Salary: Starting Basic: £31,991.95 + Shift Allowance: £7,997.99 → Total £39,989.94
- After Probation: Basic £32,652.68 + Shift Allowance £8,163.17 → Total £40,815.85

- Flexible shift rotation:
- Friday: 06:00 – 18:00
- Saturday: 06:00 – 18:00 / Night: 18:00 – 06:00
- Sunday: 06:00 – 18:00 / Night: 18:00 – 06:00
- Monday: 06:00 – 12:00 / Night: 18:00 – 06:00

Key Responsibilities
- Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns and carry out corrective maintenance.
- Conduct preventative and predictive maintenance on mechanical and electrical plant.
- Read and interpret technical drawings and engineering diagrams to perform repairs.
- Work safely at heights and in enclosed or confined spaces.
- Quickly learn and adapt to new equipment and manufacturing processes.
- Maintain accurate records using IT systems for reporting and tracking maintenance activities.
- Participate in fault-finding and root-cause analysis to reduce downtime and improve efficiency.
- Ensure high standards of health, safety, and housekeeping.

Candidate Requirements
- Time-served in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
- Proven fault-finding skills and experience in a hands-on maintenance environment.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings.
- Capable of managing a varied and demanding workload with initiative and self-motivation.
- Comfortable working at heights and in confined spaces.
- Basic IT literacy and excellent verbal and written communication skills.
