Case Maintenance Operative (Night Shift) 

• Location: Whitburn / West Lothian (Central Belt, Scotland)
• Working Hours 45 hours per week - Sunday to Thursday (Night Shift)
• Typical hours: 8:00pm – 5:00am (door-to-door paid)
• Minimum 9 hours paid per shift (30-minute unpaid break)
• Flexibility required
• Pay: £13.22 per hour
• Duration: Temp to perm
• full UK driving licence is preferred, as there may be opportunities to share driving duties with the senior engineer.

We are currently recruiting on behalf of a third-party client for a Case Maintenance Operative to join a growing refrigeration maintenance division, working alongside a Senior Engineer.

The role will be based in the Whitburn / West Lothian area, and candidates should ideally live within a 15-minute commute.

Role Overview: 

As a Case Maintenance Operative, you will carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) deep cleans on refrigeration cabinets across major UK retail sites. This is a key role in ensuring equipment efficiency, airflow performance, and reducing system failures.

Full training and development is provided from day one.

Key Responsibilities:
 

• Cleaning and maintaining refrigeration cabinet components
• Carrying out basic leak checks (F-Gas awareness required/training provided)
• Clearing and maintaining condensate drains
• Reporting defects and cabinet condition
• Working in line with company SOPs and safety standards

• Comfortable working night shifts
• Ideally based locally to Whitburn / West Lothian
• Refrigeration or maintenance experience
• F-Gas certification
• Basic electrical knowledge
