Mobile Plant MechanicPertemps are recruiting for a Mobile Plant Mechanic to join our client's team in Wellingborough.

Location: 2-26 Rixon Road, Finedon Road Industrial Estate, Wellingborough, Northamptonshire, NN8 4BB
Pay Rate: £19.19 per hour
Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 08:00–16:30
Contract: Minimum 12 weeks, with the opportunity for extension for the right candidate.

About the RoleWe are looking for a motivated and experienced Mobile Plant Mechanic to join a busy workshop team. The role involves servicing, repairing and maintaining a variety of plant and equipment, resolving mechanical issues and ensuring high standards of safety and maintenance.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out regular plant inspections and scheduled servicing.
• Diagnose and resolve technical and mechanical issues.
• Complete on and off-hire PDI inspections.
• Maintain accurate records of work carried out.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety and environmental requirements.
• Maintain a safe and tidy working environment.
• Work collaboratively with operational teams and management.
• Provide guidance and support to apprentices and operators.
• Respond to unforeseen mechanical issues when required.
  
  

Requirements

• Level 2 VQ in Plant Maintenance and Repair.
• Experience servicing and repairing plant and equipment.
• A clean driving licence is preferred.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong commitment to safety and quality.
