Recruitment Consultant

Pertemps Blackburn have an exciting opportunity for a recruitment consultant to join their team in their brand-new modern office. It will be the focus of the successful applicant to develop strong relationships with candidates and clients specifically looking to explore temporary opportunities.

This opportunity would be perfect for someone who is ambitious, driven and looking to kickstart their recruitment career with the UK’s largest independent recruitment agency. Whilst we are open to applications from various experience levels, the ideal candidate will have previous exposure to business development, sales, account management or will have worked in a fast-paced target driven environment.

The role:
You will be working with our Blackburn branch as a pivotal member of the team, sourcing, screening, and interviewing candidates to assess key competencies that meet our clients specifications.
It will also be your responsibility to develop exceptional relationships with clients to bring on new business. You will be enrolled onto our excellent 16-week training programme where you will learn foundation and advanced skills/knowledge needed to become a successful recruitment consultant.

• Attending clients’ meetings, acting as a Pertemps brand ambassador, and providing a consultative approach.
• Sourcing and screening candidates for a variety of permanent vacancies.
• Understanding candidates career aspirations and building relationships.
• Advertising roles and also pro-actively searching for candidates via job boards and social media channels.
• Carrying out competency-based virtual interviews.
• Bringing on new clients and nurturing and maintaining existing client relationships.
• Carrying out service reviews 

Requirements:
To be a successful Recruitment Consultant you will have the following skills and experience:

• You'll need loads of energy, the ability to think on your feet and work in a fast paced, ever-changing environment.
• Capable of holding business conversations with clients to understand their business/staffing needs.
• Skilled at understanding the career aspirations of candidates to advise them of suitable roles.
• Confident in offering innovative recruitment solutions to your clients.
• Able to demonstrate strong business acumen to maximise on opportunities.
• Can demonstrate networking skills as well as developing knowledge of the market in which they operate.
• You'll be willing to learn and keen to develop knowledge of the local recruitment market.
• Ideally you will have experience in the sales, customer service and / or previous recruitment experience.
