A large business based in the Portsmouth area is recruiting a Financial Controller to take overall responsibility for the delivery of financial and management accounts through managing a team of accountants ensuring activities are completed to quality and timeline requirements. The role is initially offered on a 12 month fixed term contract basis so candidates should be available immediately or on a short notice period. The key accountabilities of the Financial Controller include: - Team management ensuring work is done accurately and to deadlines - Production of Statement of Accounts and supporting audit pack - Production of management accounts, variance analysis and commentary for the operational teams - Providing technical accounting advice and support - Developing and reviewing systems and processes The successful candidate will be a qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) with proven team management experience gained in a similar central finance role.
