Sheridan Maine are working with an established based in the heart of Reading. Due to a period of substantial growth they are looking for an Assistant Accountant to join their team. The role is based in central Reading and is within walking distance of Reading Train Station.

Duties include but are not limited to:
• Monthly management accounts
• Processing purchase, sales and general ledger
• Balance sheet reconciliations
• Preparing relevant tax filings when appropriate
• Month end preparation of accruals, prepayments, journals and fixed assets
The ideal candidate will be part qualified and working towards a professional qualification AAT/ ACA/ ACCA or CIMA. They will have good all round accounting knowledge and excellent communication skills as there will be a requirements to liaise with internal and external customers. An intermediate level of Excel is required coupled with the ability to achieve deadlines and work effectively in a fast paced working culture.
