Sheridan Maine are delighted to be working with a growing and established freight business based in Southampton. They are searching for a confident Accounts Clerk to come on board and join their busy finance team.
This is a part-time role (25 hours per week) and you will be working closely with the team to fulfil all aspects of account requirements. You will be the sole Accounts Clerk so you will need to be proficient in your use of SAGE. You will however be given the support you need to understand the role and the client's needs.
Responsibilities would include:
• Sage Accounting
• Sales Ledger
• Purchase Ledger
• Bank Reconciliation
• Daily Banking for Sterling, USD and Euro accounts
• Update the weekly and monthly currencies
• VAT Return monthly and submission to HMRC
• Credit Control
• Raising of Sales invoices
• Input of Purchase invoices
• Month end Profit and loss reporting to management
• Work with Accountants to prepare year end accounts
• Filing duties
• Ordering Stationary
Candidates are ideally required to have previous experience of performing the above responsibilities.
