Sheridan Maine are pleased to be working with a well known company based in Newbury who are currently seeking a Financial Controller to run their small finance function.
As well as playing a key role within the senior leadership team, the role will be a hands on position responsible for the following key duties:
- Budgeting and forecasting
- Management accounts
- VAT and Tax returns
- Treasury management
- Oversee and review payroll
- Prepare financial statements
- Liaise with external auditors
- Manage a small team
The ideal candidate will have experience of a managing and running a finance team within a small to medium sized business and possess an up to date accounting qualification such as CIMA/ ACCA or ACA. Candidates who are qualified by experience or AAT qualified with relevant experience will also be considered. It is essential to have a strong sense of commercial acumen and excellent communication skills, being able to build good rapport with internal and external contacts. Intermediate to advanced IT skills are required as well as being highly organised with the ability to work to deadlines.
