Job Description
An Electrical Engineer is required for a large multi-million pound project in Plymouth. Based on site full time you will be part of an exciting new team responsible for maintaining the building.

Summary of duties:
- Maintain the safe and effective operation of Mechanical and Electrical building services, systems, and equipment on site
- Carry out routine inspections, servicing, maintenance, and record-keeping in accordance with relevant procedures, standards, and regulatory requirements - SFG20, NHS HTM’s, and all Health & Safety, Quality and Environmental requirements.
- Support the reliability, availability, and performance of equipment and infrastructure.
- Undertake repairs and maintenance (PPM) activities within the scope of training, competence, and authorisation.
- Complete planned maintenance activities and ensure all associated documentation is accurate and up to date.
- Respond to reactive maintenance requests and equipment faults in a timely and professional manner.
- Perform duties in accordance with organisational policies, procedures, and applicable legislation.
- Participate in out-of-hours support arrangements where required.
- Maintain accurate records and complete work-related documentation promptly.
- Carry out all tasks safely, professionally, and efficiently.
- Adhere to health, safety, quality, and environmental requirements at all times.
What’s needed to apply!
- Relevant electrical qualifications
- Ideally you will have a background working on healthcare /NHS projects with an understanding of the regulations and compliance required
- Practical experience in a related engineering or maintenance role.
- Working knowledge of building services and associated systems.
- Experience carrying out inspection, maintenance, fault-finding, and repair activities.
- Familiarity with participating in on-call or out-of-hours support arrangements.
- Understanding of health and safety requirements and safe working practices.
- Strong communication and customer-facing skills.
- Proactive approach to problem-solving and troubleshooting.
- Ability to identify issues, determine appropriate solutions, and complete repairs effectively.
