CNC Operator

Riverside Recruitment are seeking skilled CNC Operators to join a highly respected precision manufacturing business based in Basildon.

The Role:
As a CNC Operator, you will be responsible for manufacturing high-precision components using mainly 4 and 5-axis milling and turn/mill CNC machines, alongside supporting general machining activities.
Key Responsibilities

• Setting and operating a range of multi-axis CNC machines
• Inspecting components using CMM and other inspection equipment to ensure compliance with engineering drawings
• Following all procedures, operating standards, and safety guidelines
• Maintaining accurate records of production issues, machine adjustments, and repairs
• Supporting preventative maintenance activities to maximise machine uptime (TPM)
• Maintaining a strong safety focus while working around operational machinery
• Providing flexibility to support production requirements
• Working collaboratively with other team members to maintain productivity and quality standards

• Strong attention to detail with a commitment to producing tight tolerance, high-quality components
• Ability to work to closely controlled specifications within precision engineering environments
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Proactive and reliable approach to work

Skills & Experience:

• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
• Experience working with precision components to high quality standards
• Knowledge of manufacturing safety regulations and procedures
• Time served apprenticeship and/or demonstrable relevant experience in CNC machining

What’s on Offer:

• £21.50 per hour + Shift Allowance
• Full-time, permanent position
• 37 hours per week, operating on a 3-shift rotation (Monday–Friday)
