Job Description
We are looking for an experienced Operations Manager to support our client based in Daventry.
This senior position is on a Temp to Perm basis after 12-weeks.
Core Responsibilities
Team Leadership: Direct shift supervisors, drivers, and warehouse workers to maintain smooth workflow. Must be approachable, confident and able to build rapport with your team.
Safety & Compliance: Ensure all operations follow legal regulations, vehicle maintenance rules, and driver hours limits.
Performance & Cost Control: Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for on-time delivery, cost optimization, and financial performance.
Continuous Improvement: Spot bottlenecks on the shopfloor or in transport routes and apply quick fixes. This will be a fast-paced environment; the ability to make rational decisions in the moment to better the operation is a must.
Typical Requirements
Experience: Proven background in transport management, logistics, or supply chain supervision.
Qualifications: A Certificate of Professional Competence (CPC) is preferred but not required.
Skills: Strong commercial awareness, communication skills, and a customer-first mindset.
Annual Salary between £40-£50k depending on experience.
Must be flexible to support the operation as required. Typical office hours, between the hours of 6am and 9pm where needed.
