Job role: Senior Maintenance Technician
Location: Wrexham
Hours: 2 days 6am-6pm - 2 nights 6pm-6am ( 4 on 4 off )
Salary: £40,000

Pertemps Recruitment Agency are currently recruiting for a senior Maintenance Technician for our established client based in Wrexham. 

Job duties and responsibilities will include:

1. Carrying out electrical and mechanical planned maintenance tasks without supervision

2. Complete reactive /corrective actions returning equipment to regular output, quality and waste levels following fault diagnosis.

3. Sourcing parts and materials from suppliers and organizing parts through technical administration.

4. Implement mechanical installation works, electrical automation and small plc changes without supervision.

5. Conduct continuous machine observation and measurement, identifying potential failure or deterioration in output, waste or quality performance from standard.

6. Determine cause of potential failure or performance deterioration, and complete remedial work briefing Engineering Team on issue, cause and recommended solution

7. Use manuals and failure history to develop preventative tasks in line with TPM objectives.

8. Brief the Engineering Manager / Lead Technician, liaising with engineering planner of the task and its purpose. Train other engineers on how to perform new tasks.


Experience required:

- Able to read electrical drawings and hydraulics / pneumatics circuits.
- Read and produce mechanical drawings.
- Ability to logically fault find, Knowledge of, PPS, 8D problem solving tools.
- Worked with circuits from 415VAC to 24VDC power & control.
- Experience of inverter, servo, DC drives.
- Carried out PPM on both electrical and mechanical equipment.
- Worked with high speed rotating packaging equipment.
- TPM / 6S / Continuous Improvement / Lean experience.
- SAP PM Experience, or other CMMS system.
- A good team player with plenty of ideas and enthusiasm and able to work under pressure.
- Open-mindedness to learn new techniques & technology.
- Electrical and Mechanical ability essential, PLC knowledge desirable.
- C&G Level 3
