Job Description

Pertemps Exeter have a great opportunity for an experienced upholsterer in the Exeter area. You will become part of a small, experienced team who design and manufacture high end, bespoke furniture. Our client works with local interior designers to create the perfect piece of comfort for each individual space.

Type of Work: Furniture
Salary: £15.00 - £17.00 per hour
Previous experience in a similar position is a must-have requirement.

Working Hours:
Monday to Thursday: 08.00 am - 5.00 pm (39 hours per week)
Friday: 08.00 am to 1.00pm

Location: Exeter, United Kingdom

Responsibilities of the Upholsterer Role:
Utilizing both power tools and hand tools to construct sofas from start to finish.
Adding finishing touches such as buttons, trims, and other decorative elements in order to fulfil orders according to specific requirements.
Taking measurements and cutting fabric or leather pieces with precision using patterns, stencils, and industrial cutting tools.

The Ideal Candidate for the Upholsterer Role:
Proficient in cutting, stitching, and upholstering various items including sofas, chairs, armchairs, etc., as requested.
Possesses exceptional attention to detail and consistently produces work of high quality with accuracy.
Fully skilled and experienced in all aspects of upholstery work including deep buttoning and fixed seating.
Knowledgeable about manual handling techniques as well as capable of lifting heavy objects due to the nature of our products.
