An exciting position has become available for a Portable Welfare Mechanic working Sociable hours from 7am till 3.30 with optional overtime, Excellent rates of pay depending on experience and potential for temp to perm for the right person.
Welfare Mechanics are to supply hand tools required to service / repair (full time would include all tools)
Portable Welfare Mechanic/Engineer
" Working on a fleet of mobile and static welfare units.
" Carrying out repairs and servicing to the running gear of the trailered welfare units in line with company SWIS
" Carrying out servicing and repairs to the generators in both mobile and static welfare units (6kva to 12.5kva)
" Working with both Gas and Diesel Engine units.
Previous Portable Welfare Mechanic Experience
" Good working knowledge of trailered welfare units or mechanical repairs (tyres, suspension, hydraulics, brakes, trailer lighting and towing assemblies)
" Competent in the servicing of Both Gas and Diesel engine generators (6kva to 12.5kva)
" Experience of fault diagnosis and repairs is desired but not fully essential
" Experience working in a construction/workshop environment
" Experience handling all fuels and other hazardous substances
" Experience working with a fuel polishing machine (desirable but not fully essential)
" Working on 12v wiring systems.
" Welding and fabrication work would be a distinct advantage
" Any previous experience of working with groundhog / Security cabin / Boss cabin is desired.
" Must have a good working knowledge of all health and safety including WAH / COSHH / Manual Handling / Abrasive Wheels / HASAWA (CSCS or IOSH an advantage)
Portable Welfare Mechanics will work hours from 7am till 3.30, with optional overtime, Temp to perm and with a payrate between £9-£16 an hour depending on previous experience.
