Transport First Line Manager (FLM)

Stoke-on-Trent | £15.50 per hour | Temporary 2–3 Month Role

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Transport First Line Manager (FLM) / Transport Supervisor to join a busy timber operation based in Stoke-on-Trent.

This is a 2–3 month temporary position, working Monday to Friday, 10:00am–6:00pm, supporting the Transport Manager and Transport Planning team with the smooth running of the day-to-day transport operation.

You will play an important role in coordinating the transport operation and supporting a team of HGV Class 1 drivers, helping to ensure deliveries and schedules run efficiently.

Key responsibilities of this Transport FLM Role:

• Supporting the Transport Manager and Transport Planning team
  
  
• Coordinating the daily transport operation
  
  
• Managing and supporting a team of HGV Class 1 drivers
  
  
• Dealing with day-to-day driver and operational issues
  
  
• Monitoring deliveries and transport schedules
  
  
• Assisting with transport administration and compliance
  
  
• Helping to ensure the transport operation runs safely and efficiently
  
  

We are looking for someone with previous experience in a Transport FLM, Transport Supervisor, Transport Coordinator or similar role.

For this Transport FLM Role, you will need:

• Have experience managing or supervising HGV drivers
  
  
• Have a good understanding of day-to-day transport operations
  
  
• Be confident dealing with drivers and operational issues
  
  
• Have strong organisational and communication skills
  
  
• Be able to work effectively in a busy transport environment

Pay Rate: £15.50 per hour
