Job Description
Customer Service Advisor – Inbound Calls
Location: Northampton
Contract: 12 months
Pay: £13.87 per hour
Hours: 8am – 8pm, Monday to Sunday (shift-based)
Pertemps are currently supporting the recruitment of Customer Service Advisors for a long-term contract opportunity based in Northampton. This role offers full training, structured support, and the chance to build valuable experience within a fast-paced customer environment.
You’ll be working on a rota basis, covering 5 days out of 7, with your shifts provided 6 weeks in advance. Shift patterns include:
Early: 8am – 4pm
Mid: 9am – 5pm / 10am – 6pm
Late: 11am – 7pm / 12pm – 8pm
When working late shifts, you’ll typically have the weekend off. Please note there may be occasions where shifts run across six consecutive days into the following week.
What you’ll be doing
In this role, you’ll be the first point of contact for customers, handling a variety of inbound enquiries. Full training will be provided, so you’ll feel confident before taking calls independently.
Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
Managing a high volume of incoming calls
Assisting customers with account queries and online services
Providing clear and accurate information on products and services
Delivering a positive and professional customer experience
Building rapport and tailoring your approach to individual needs
This is a busy role where you’ll regularly engage with customers throughout the day, so confidence and resilience are key.
What we’re looking for
We’re keen to speak with candidates who have previous customer service experience and enjoy working in a people-focused role.
To be successful, you should:
Communicate clearly and confidently over the phone
Be comfortable navigating systems and using a computer
Have a reliable internet connection for any homeworking requirements
Work well in a fast-paced, target-driven environment
Pay close attention to detail
Take pride in delivering a high standard of service
No prior financial services experience is required, as comprehensive training will be provided.
