Group Consolidation Accountant This is a varied and demanding role – 10-month contract - working for a large organisation in which you will be working alongside all levels of stakeholders. The main purpose of the role is to drive the best-in-class financial reporting and regulatory reporting frameworks. Duties and responsibilities: - Support and liaise with the external audit team at year end and half year end.
- Assist with the preparation of consolidated financial statements.
- Develop best practices and processes on all external reporting.
- Provide ad-hoc technical finance advice to other areas of the business.
- Management of various subsidiary companies – processing of journals and preparation of balance sheets reconciliations, budgeting and forecasting and preparation of statutory accounts.
- Manage and participate in a number of ad hoc projects – liquidations, new company set-up, system and control review
Required Skills and Experience - Qualified Accountant – ACA, ACCA or CIMA or equivalent
- Strong technical background with experience of external financial reporting under IFRS including preparation of consolidated accounts.
- Strong communication and relationship management skills
- Experience of working in a large organisation that has complex reporting structures and can adapt to and contribute to consistent change.
