Housing Lawyer, 3+ Years PQE, up to £55,000 (DOE), Manchester. This role involves managing a full caseload of both pre- and post-issue Housing Disrepair claims. HOUSING SOLICITOR/LEGAL EXECUTIVE:
• Take ownership of housing disrepair files, progressing matters efficiently from initial review through to resolution
• Provide clients with practical, easy-to-understand legal guidance tailored to their circumstances
• Produce high-quality legal documents to support claims and litigation strategy
• Handle the litigation process end-to-end, ensuring all procedural steps are met
• Engage with third parties including opposing representatives, experts, and insurers to move cases forward
• Evaluate claims thoroughly, gathering evidence and quantifying losses to support strong outcomes
• Drive settlement discussions while protecting client interests, escalating to hearings where necessary
• Represent clients in formal proceedings, negotiations, and alternative dispute resolution settings
• Build and maintain positive client relationships through regular updates and clear communication
• Work closely with colleagues to share knowledge and strengthen overall team performance
• Provide guidance and oversight to junior team members when required
• Ensure all work aligns with regulatory standards and internal quality expectations
• Keep up to date with legal developments to inform case strategy
• Make effective use of digital tools and systems to manage caseloads productively
