Court of Protection Solicitor | 3+ PQE | Bristol | Hybrid Working | Competitive Salary (DOE)
The Opportunity
This is a rare opportunity to join a growing Court of Protection team at an exciting stage of development. The role offers a high degree of flexibility and autonomy, along with the chance to play a key role in shaping and expanding the service offering.
The Role
You will manage your own Court of Protection caseload, providing sensitive and expert advice to vulnerable clients and their families. The role is ideal for a solicitor who thrives on client interaction, relationship-building, and contributing to the growth of an evolving practice.
Key Responsibilities
• Handling a varied caseload including:
o Deputyship applications (Property & Affairs and Welfare)
o Ongoing deputyship administration
o Applications to the Court of Protection
o Advising attorneys and deputies
o Mental Capacity Act matters
o Statutory wills and gifts
• Liaising with families, care providers, local authorities, and other professionals
Business Development & Networking
• Building and maintaining strong relationships with clients and referrers
• Attending networking events and business development activities
• Supporting the growth and profile of the Court of Protection offering
• Contributing to the development of processes, best practice, and future service expansion
About You
• Qualified Solicitor with Court of Protection experience
• Confident managing a caseload independently
• Compassionate, detail-oriented, and client-focused
• Commercially aware with a proactive approach
• Comfortable working in a hybrid/remote environment while remaining engaged and visible
• Enthusiastic about business development and networking
